Art Studio Hands-on Helper
Do you have an artistic flair and a caring heart? Put your talents to great use by working one on one with disabled adults as they seek to express themselves and create original artwork. Cornerstone’s Art Studio program is thriving and individual helpers would be so beneficial and much appreciated. Volunteer opportunities run Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 and 3, shift length is up to you!

Sew, Sew, Sew…Do You Love To Sew?
Seamstress(es) or Tailors wanted! to sew fancy, sparkly, new aprons for our holiday fundraiser, The CEO Champagne Luncheon. Help finding just the right pattern would also be appreciated. Material will be provided. 40 adjustable size aprons are needed, so this may be a good group project!

Senior Ladies’ Craft Leader
Facilitate arts and crafts with senior women. Latch hooking and jewelry making skills would be especially appreciated.

Arts and Crafts Volunteer
Prepare materials for craft projects for adults and work with consumers on craft projects.

Historical Storyteller Volunteer
Entertain adults with disabilities with accounts of historical events, reminiscing of the past (i.e. how things used to be done, how foods were prepared, etc.)

Leisure Time Activities Helper
Lead a bingo tournament (or other game), read a story, help with money-counting skills, telling time, or other activities as needed.

Life Experience
Share your life knowledge with others! A personal story, interesting job experience, slideshow of a memorable vacation . . . it's up to you!

Literacy Volunteers
Help adults with disabilities (most with academic levels below 4th grade) improve basic reading and math skills under the direction of an instructor.

Mobility Training
Assist clients in learning to use walkers/wheelchairs/canes more effectively and safely.

Musical Volunteer
Share your musical talent. Lead adults with disabilities in age-appropriate tunes. Introduce individuals to various musical instruments. Entertain groups with live music or conduct a sing-along.

Senior Day Program Assistant
Our day program for senior citizens with developmental disabilities is in need of caring individuals to share their time.

Recreational Helper
The Cornerstone Jaguars participate in sports for every season of the year. Helpers are welcomed for our practice sessions. We’d also appreciate help for activities such as Bingo, group games, crafts, exercise nights. One of the few evening volunteer opportunities; days of the week vary.
